At 9am today, the 5th of January 2019, voting for the vacant position of SRG President has been opened. Voting is currently being conducted electronically through a survey website.

Voting is open from 9am today (5th of Jan) until 5pm on Thursday,10th of January 2019.

To participate in voting, please click on the link below or contained in the email sent from the SRG address. Please note that only 1 vote per person is allowed. Voting is only open for SRG financial members who are over the age of 18.

Nominees for this vacant position are:

     Dan Ribu

    Bridget Smith

    Karen Normanton

When nominated the question was asked of the candidates, what each could bring to the position of President. To assist with your decision making here are their answers to that question:

Dan Ribu will bring his personal passion of running to the group, and his professionalism in being able to lead the committee. His time as Run Leader Coordinator is proof of his dedication to everyone within the group. A natural leader and a friendly person all round.

Bridget Smith shows great passion for this group and the direction it should be taking. Her position in her working life would be beneficial to this position. Whether her family, her running friends, or her old work colleagues, Bridget always helps those in need and helps to push people to new heights.

Karen Normanton is a well respected member of SRG. Her presence spans both trail and road running and she is known across all run sessions from early morning to trails. Karen’s strengths are her ability to unite people into a joint purpose and she is focussed on outcomes that benefit the group. This has been demonstrated in her work as Events Coordinator with the last committee. She has demonstrated excellent communication and people skills countless times.

Now that you know a little bit more about our candidates, it’s time to do your part. Please remember to vote. If you have any problems at all, please contact Sam Moore or Elaine Watling. Facebook messenger is the preferred method of contact for both Sam and Elaine.
