With the introduction of the SRG website (www.srg.org.au) we have been working behind the scenes to implement electronic sign in for all our run sessions.
This is now in full swing. Any runner attending any of our run sessions, financial member or not, must book in to these sessions prior to attending. You do this by visiting www.srg.org.au and going to the Book Online Tab find your session, morning, beginner, trail etc and locate the date you are attending and input the information required.
The run leader who is running your session will receive notification of your attendance via email. If the session is cancelled (normally due to the weather) if you have booked in online prior to the run session you will receive a email notifying you of the cancellation.
If you are a financial member this means we have a permanent record of your attendance if you are ever required to make an insurance claim. If you are not a financial member you are still required to book in to the session however you are taking the risk that you are not covered by our insurance. If you wish to become a financial member it is only $16 for an individual for the whole year from date of sign on, and $32 for a family of 4. This gives you access to our insurance and discounts on events throughout the year through our affiliation with QRun and member discounts at our preferred suppliers.
We also have received some great news. Cr Morrison, Cr Tully and Cr Ireland have come together to provide us with the funding to purchase Light Vests for ALL our Run Leaders!! This is fantastic and means we will be clearly seen out on our runs increasing our safety even more.
